Trans people have always been here, walking among us the WHOLE time and we will continue to do so, with or without governmental consent. ALL reputable science determines that there is no distinct correlation between biological sex and (especially the western) concept of gender. Yet each day the bigots bare down and repeat the same tired falsehoods. Their intent? To KILL. And at the heart of it, we have TERFs.
Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminism is gender terrorism. These wolves in sheep’s clothing operate under the guise of “feminism” when what they TRULY mean is bio essentialism- “The belief that ‘human nature’, an individual's personality, or some specific quality (such as intelligence, creativity, homosexuality, masculinity, femininity, or a male propensity to aggression) is an innate and natural ‘essence’ (rather than a product of circumstances, upbringing, and culture).” The operative word being “belief”, as there’s no science to back this up. How does it feel to have someone strip you of your personal autonomy?
Being transgender is NOT a mental illness. It is NOT a sexuality. It is NOT a choice.
The consequences of transphobic violence are heartbreaking and widespread. Transgender people are 9 times more likely to attempt suicide than the general population- that’s 41% of trans people vs 4.6% of everyone else. 47% of trans people face violent assault in their lifetime, aka almost 1 in 2. The valuable lives of trans people are under an ever increasing threat by the tr*mp administration. Divesting trans people of our legal personhood is only the beginning. If it’s not stopped NOW, it only gets worse for EVERYONE.
